Custom Automatic Door Installation Solves Budget Constraints & Elevates Hotel Entrance

A hotel in Londonderry, New Hampshire, faced budget constraints and was looking for a creative solution to upgrade their entrance from manual swing doors to an automatic sliding door without the costs associated with demoing and reframing the openings. Door Control, Inc., a part of Door Services Corporation, provided a solution with a custom installation.
They removed the old, severely worn, swing doors and left the adjacent sidelights in place.
Door Control, Inc. also did some metal break work to wrap the old frames and was able to match the custom color, to not only hide the old hinge, manual closer and maglock holes but also to tie the old framework into the new surface mount sliders.
For the interior door, a Horton Automatics surface mounted slider was installed in the vestibule with a standard P-SX-SX-P breakaway. For the exterior door, a surface mounted slider was installed with a reverse break out P-SX-SX-P. This one was custom height to allow the doors to break out under the old swing door header. The old threshold was also replaced at the exterior to give the project a nice finished and polished look.
The hotel owners and Managers are SUPER happy with the results!
